We have a very exciting opportunity for a qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Group Innovation Technical Operations team, based in our Group Innovation centre in Redditch. About the role The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for conducting routine preventive and reactive asset maintenance to ensure safe operation and equipment reliability to meet production demands. You will ensure work is completed safely according to company and legislative standards to the required quality and workmanship in the time allotted. Managing daily progress of scheduled work, expediting additional spares or support requirements to deliver the equipment back to production within agreed timescales. Escalation of any additional work identified with key stakeholders to support the prioritisation and decision-making process will also be a key deliverable. As the successful candidate, you will monitor asset performance to identify and rectify issues whilst improving and maintaining standards within Environment, Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste. Supporting the site Management Team in the delivery of key objectives and performance targets. The focus is to deliver world-class Service in a fast-paced environment to delight the customer and grow our business. To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive innovation through the engineering function; key to the success and continued improvement of site operations. The role holder will also function as a machine operator on site as required to support the operational requirements. This is a Monday to Friday role with the hours of 8.30am - 4.30pm. Key responsibilities: Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with the company health, safety and environmental policies. Maintain and continually improve housekeeping standards in the Site workshop area, and when conducting tasks around the site. Execution and development of the planned preventative maintenance system. Reactive repair and improvement of plant and equipment. Ensure contractors are appropriately supervised, comply with contractual commitments, site operating processes and issue appropriate permits when necessary. Develop and implement a spare parts policy. Maintain comprehensive equipment records, with details of repairs completed, root causes, and corrective actions required Operation of equipment to support operational requirements. About you Fully qualified multi skilled (Electrical and Mechanical) Maintenance technician, ideally accredited to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or BTEC. Good demonstratable knowledge/experience of basic electrical repairs and fault finding. Comfortable with creation and completion of Risk Assessment documents. Evidence of PPM implementation, delivery and control. Must have a demonstrable background in a Maintenance environment Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence training e.g.5S, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Problem Solving techniques. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
