Main duties of the job
Our 12 bedded mixed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit has a commitment to high standards of care and continued learning and can offer the successful candidates a new challenge with tremendous job satisfaction in a friendly and well supported environment. There is an excellent induction package and training in a modern and upgraded intensive care/high dependency unit supported by a clinical information management system. The unit also operates a 12 hour shift system.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RGN
* Evidence of continued and recent academic and clinical development
* Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards
* Preparation for Mentorship (ENB 998 or equivalent)
Experience and Knowledge
* Recent acute hospital experience
* Previous ICU and/or HDU experience
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to work confidently and remain calm under stress
* Good inter-personal skills which engender effective relationships with staff
* Accurate presentation and attention to detail
* Basic understanding of ICU/HDU environment and patient group

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year, pro rata
