An opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a highly skilled Large Loss team at an international law firm. This role offers the chance to work on high-value and complex technical cases, representing over £800 million of client reserves. The Solicitor will have the autonomy to manage their own caseload, with opportunities to assist on cases valued over £500,000. What You'll Do:
As a Solicitor in the Large Loss team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal services dealing with claims of high value. You will assist partners in running catastrophic injury claims while also having the autonomy to manage your own caseload. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Assisting Partners and managing your own caseload of catastrophic and high-value PI cases
* Liaising with other solicitors, insurers, police, HSE and witnesses to gather evidence
* Attending court hearings, conferences and JSMs as directed by Partner
* Drafting letters, reports, reserve sheets and action plans as directed
* Keeping up to date with the latest developments in personal injury national and global news and updates
What You Bring:
You bring valuable experience and skills that will contribute significantly to the firm's operations. These include:
* Experience of managing a defendant personal injury litigation caseload (Motor work preferred but EL/PL/Clin Neg also relevant)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines/targets
* Knowledge of CPR procedures and technical ability
* Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
