Location: Blackburn | Specialist SENH Setting | Full-Time Temp Position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | £13.75 p/h
We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH setting in Blackburn on a full-time, temporary basis. In this role, you’ll be directly involved in supporting students with a range of behavioural needs, helping to create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and group support for students with behavioural challenges.
2. Work closely with the teaching team to implement individualised support plans.
3. Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
4. Help maintain a calm and safe environment conducive to learning.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience in working with children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), particularly those with behavioural challenges.
2. A proactive and empathetic approach, with a strong desire to make a positive impact.
3. Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
4. A team player who is flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
5. Previous experience in behaviour management techniques is advantageous but not essential.
