Location: Blackburn | Specialist SENH Setting | Full-Time Temp Position
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | £13.75 p/h
We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH setting in Blackburn on a full-time, temporary basis. In this role, you’ll be directly involved in supporting students with a range of behavioural needs, helping to create a positive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and group support for students with behavioural challenges.
* Work closely with the teaching team to implement individualised support plans.
* Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
* Assist in managing challenging behaviour using effective, positive strategies.
* Help maintain a calm and safe environment conducive to learning.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in working with children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), particularly those with behavioural challenges.
* A proactive and empathetic approach, with a strong desire to make a positive impact.
* Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A team player who is flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
* Previous experience in behaviour management techniques is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
