CNC Recruitment is seeking multiple Vehicle Technicians to join our client's team in Yeovil area.
Job type – Permanent, Full Time
Working hours – Working hours 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00 weekly shift rotation + alternate Saturdays 08.00-12.00 (follows late shift)
Pay - Pay relevant to experience, scale below (left column is rotational shift, right column is permanent late shift):
Level 1 - £30,500.00 p.a. - £36,600.00 p.c.
Level 2 - £35,500.00 p.a. - £42,600.00 p.a.
Level 3 - £39,500.00 p.a. - £47,400.00 p.a.
Level 4 - £43,000.00 p.a. - £51,600.00 p.a.
Level 5 - £44,500.00 p.a. - £53,400.00 p.a.
Master Tech - £48,200.00 p.a.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse work orders to confirm accuracy and clarify any ambiguities with the Service Advisor.
* Assess vehicle condition and perform necessary repairs or servicing as outlined in work orders.
* Document completed work orders accurately, including labor hours and materials used.
* Follow warranty protocols, ensuring all replaced materials are documented and returned appropriately.
* Minimize waste of materials, oils, and fluids.
* Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Workshop Controller and Service Manager.
* Identify required parts and tools for repairs or servicing and ensure availability.
* Coordinate with Service Advisors and the Parts Department for any part orders.
* Maintain security and quality standards for parts inventory.
* Test vehicles and provide diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller and Service Reception.
* Communicate further repair requirements to the Workshop Controller and ensure the customer is informed.
* Proactively report on vehicle and component serviceability.
* Ensure vehicles meet industry safety standards before returning them to customers.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies, focusing on customer needs and the company’s professional reputation.
* Inspect and maintain tools and equipment in compliance with company policy.
* Uphold retail and wholesale standards, reinforcing the Van Centre’s reputation.
* Engage with customers directly when required to explain vehicle issues and corrective actions taken.
* Safeguard customer vehicles and belongings during service or repair.
* Provide courteous and professional reception experience in line with Volkswagen’s quality program.
Requirements
* Previous experience in vehicle repair and servicing.
* Proven track record in diagnosing and fixing vehicle faults.
* Valid clean driving license.
* Proficiency in technical vehicle repair software and computer skills.
* City and Guilds Part 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle – Essential
