As we continue to develop and enhance our in house residential service, we currently have a vacancy at The Alders for a Deputy Manager. Our working pattern various and is based on a rota to include x5 7/8hr shifts per week including 2 rest days. Our new increased pay range also recognises the challenging nature of the role. Main Responsibilities You will: take a lead role to support and work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets with the requirements of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. oversee the effective day to day running of the children’s home whilst being responsible for direct supervision and support of the residential team. We are looking for a committed, vibrant, and highly motivated individual to support young people in all areas of their lives, whilst creating an environment where young people can flourish and achieve their full potential. You will need to work on your own initiative and be able to deal with challenging and demanding situations. This role can require a high level of resilience and flexibility but is also very rewarding. Interviews will take place as applications are received. The Ideal Candidate You Must Have: - Experience of working in a management role and working with children and young people in a residential setting is required. - Minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Young People. Ideally it would be great if you have an NVQ/QCF Level 4 or above in Management or that you would be committed to doing this qualification with us once in post.
