Senior Analyst| Hybrid | Hatfield - two days a week in Hatfield Head Office.
Here at Ocado Logistics, it’s our mission to provide an outstanding customer experience for our partners, developing ground-breaking technology, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships around the world - changing the way the world shops, for good.
We are the beating heart of our UK business and comprise a network of cutting-edge warehouses and offices across the country that ensure that we optimise the experience and use our proprietary technology across the supply chain to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. At the same time, delivering bags of possibilities for our employees and a career that will ensure no two days are ever the same.
About the role
We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members - who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers' products picked and packed, and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels. Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience, which means we now have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join the team.
As a Senior Analyst, you will:
* Drive efficiency, enhance decision-making processes, and ensure seamless operations within the Analytics and Optimisation team at Ocado.
* Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within the supply chain and logistics functions.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory management, procurement, and distribution processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, insights, and requirements for analysis and reporting.
* Generate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline operations, and improve efficiency.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain and logistics.
About you - Requirements to be considered:
* Significant experience in an Analyst role, with a strong focus on Big Data.
* Exceptional quantitative & qualitative problem-solving skills.
* Strong command of analytical SQL required, with Excel, VBA, or similar (e.g. Python, R, or other programming experience) desirable.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Enthusiasm for the role, and a willingness to share knowledge and best practices across the wider team.
In the interview, we would like you to:
* Deliver insight-driven analysis that provides real business value.
* Clearly explain the ‘why’ behind the data and its impact on decision-making.
* Use data storytelling techniques, such as the STAR method, to communicate insights effectively.
Interview Process Overview:
* Intro (30 mins) – Phone/Google Meet with Lead Recruiter, Richard Wandowski.
* Case Study – Successfully screened candidates will complete a short case study task.
* Interviews – There may be one or two interview stages, depending on the role's requirements. These will focus on scenario-based, behavioural, and experience-related questions, as well as a discussion on case study performance.
We have multiple openings across the broader department, working across various verticals, with immediate start dates available. During the initial screening call, Richard Wandowski will discuss your skills, experience, and preferences to determine the best fit for you within the team.
