About the Role
As Podiatrist Senior Offender Health, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients within the HMP setting who qualify for Podiatry. You will determine clinical diagnosis and podiatry treatment indicated, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
Your Day to Day - Key Responsibilities:
1. To manage your own clinical caseload.
2. To maintain professional standards.
3. To comply with all PPH standards, policies, and procedures.
Clinical Responsibilities:
1. To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your work, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management.
2. To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses in a wide range of highly complex conditions, recommending the best course of intervention and developing comprehensive discharge plans.
3. To represent Premier externally regarding services provided to patients.
4. To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, using investigative and analytical skills.
5. To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and organise this effectively and efficiently.
6. To demonstrate highly developed dexterity, coordination, and palpatory senses for assessment and manual treatment of patients.
7. To provide advice, teaching, and instruction to patients' relatives and carers.
8. To provide advice to other Podiatry colleagues and GPs.
9. To provide specialist advice, teaching, and training to other members of the MDT as required.
10. To communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential.
11. To assess capacity, gain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
12. To be an active member of the company CPD programme.
Professional Responsibilities:
1. To maintain your own clinical professional development (CPD).
2. To participate in the staff appraisal scheme and Personal Development Plan (PDP).
3. To undertake the measurement and evaluation of your work using Evidence Based Practice projects and audits.
4. To demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management.
Organisational Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for your area of work as agreed with the Senior Operations Manager.
2. To decide priorities for patient management in accordance with best clinical practice.
3. To maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date documentation.
4. To be actively involved in the monthly collection of appropriate data and statistics.
5. To be aware of Health and Safety aspects of your work and implement necessary policies.
6. To comply with company policies and procedures.
7. To undertake any other duties as considered appropriate by the Senior Operations Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Post graduate qualifications.
2. HCPC and SOCAP registered.
3. Evidence of relevant experience within podiatry.
4. Experience with advanced podiatry such as nail surgery and biomechanics.

1. Pay Type: Salary.
2. Max Hiring Rate: £40,000.00.
