Public Relations Principal Team Description Sabre Global Communications develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies to bring Sabre's vision, purpose and strategy to life to engage and influence key stakeholders. The team’s primary focus is to amplify Sabre’s brand awareness, strengthen the company’s reputation, and effectively communicate strategic plans to team members, customers, investors and industry partners. The global team is responsible for Media and Public Relations, Executive, Regional and Internal Communications, the Sabre Brand/Creative Services, and Corporate Events. Role description Sabre’s Global Public Relations and External Affairs team is seeking a communications principal to support Sabre’s six growth strategies and three product areas, as well as its ESG efforts. This role will report to the team’s director. The ideal candidate should be able to partner cross-functionally to create strong narratives that resonate with media, investors, customers and consumers alike, bringing with them a track record of robust writing and extensive public relations strategic support. They should also have experience building communications systems and processes to support the team’s transformation initiatives in 2025 and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage external communications for assigned growth strategies/product area(s), acting as main point of contact for business partners. Become fully immersed in these areas of the business to be able to offer true thought partnership and counsel to leaders and stakeholders. Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences. Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc. Foster relationships with advocates and key people, regionally and functionally. Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership in public-facing matters. Develop effective corporate communication strategies that efficiently get to the “so what?” of news and stories, while also advancing Sabre’s growth strategies. Partner with broader PR and global communications team to create new systems, processes and procedures to elevate the function. Collaborate with marketing professionals to unify and elevate the Sabre story. Contribute to broader thought leadership and subject matter expertise approaches to proactive public relations, in support of advancing the growth strategies. Assist in the development of a “speakers bureau” and creation of proactive messaging. Research and explore opportunities for new engagements and introductions to the Sabre story. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience Degree in public relations, communications or relevant field Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to creatively tell stories and adjust tone and style based on communication channel Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter Knowledge of public relations analytics software to track audience engagement and campaign performance Interested in social media trends and communication best practices Strong personal communications skills; ability to interact with and influence people at all levels Able to set priorities, be driven and excel with minimal handholding Keen attention to detail, strong copywriting and editing skills Ability to work under tight deadlines Experience in copywriting and editing Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset Must have an affinity for the travel and technology industry We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
