Clinical Fellow - Trauma & Orthopaedics
40 hours per week
Temporary contract till August 2025
The work of the Department consists of trauma care for patients arriving via the Accident and Emergency Department and the provision of elective Orthopaedic care for local residents. The Accident and Emergency Department is a busy department run separately from the Orthopaedic Department by its Accident and Emergency Consultants. Each Orthopaedic Consultant has two elective clinics, a fracture clinic, and 3 theatre sessions per week. The unit has approximately 50 beds, including children’s beds for inpatient services.
Responsibilities:
The post holder will predominantly work on the ward providing support to the Consultants and junior grades to sustain the provision of an efficient Trauma and Orthopaedic service to patients. This includes ensuring, in conjunction with colleagues, that the highest quality of care is provided to each individual patient who attends the specialty and supporting the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department in meeting and delivering its local and national targets.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience within Trauma & Orthopaedic preferred.
