Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior M&E Planner to be engaged on a permanent basis in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Develop and maintain schedules for design / engineering / construction / commissioning
2. Develop and maintain progress databases
3. Progress reporting including production of Weekly and Monthly reports
4. Milestone projections, delay / float path analysis
5. Recording delay and disruption
6. Earned Value Management
7. Monitoring schedule performance and productivity
8. Site progress verification, including incorporating quality assessments
9. Attending schedule meetings, liaising with client and subcontractors
10. Preparation of tender schedules
11. Preparation of histograms
12. Leading planning meetings and weekly work planning systems
13. Resource / cash loading of schedules
14. Providing data for payment applications
15. Completing contract review reports
16. Responsibility for quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
17. Making relevant parties aware of issues and advising on solutions

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
1. A good analytical approach
2. Sound IT skills including Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
3. Work on own initiative and proven ability to prioritise workload and problem solve
4. Self-motivated & able to work under pressure and to deadlines
5. Good Communication Skills including the ability to build good working relationships with other staff and other teams within UK Power Networks
6. Ability to chair meetings both with internal and external stakeholders
7. 5+ years of previous experience of construction projects
8. Ideally a third level degree in a construction-related field
9. Proficient in all MS Office packages, with advanced level MS Excel
10. Excellent organisational and project planning skills
11. Excellent negotiation & problem-solving skills
12. Ability to work as part of a team & work on own initiative
13. Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
14. Excellent communication skills
15. Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels
