We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Lead to oversee and guide our manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical medical devices sector. The ideal candidate will have worked in a highly regulated environment, overseeing daily operations, ensuring production targets are met and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The role will have a strong focus on people leadership, ensuring optimal team performance, fostering professional growth, and maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations. It will play a pivotal role in building a high-performing team, driving process efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in leading, coaching, and developing a diverse team of process operators to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and adherence to environmental, health and safety standards.
2. Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and accountability, motivating your team of process operators to drive productivity improvements and improve quality.
3. Ensure your team of process operators have completed their training on time and comply with all standard operating procedures.
4. Support the ongoing development of staff through regular coaching and feedback.
5. Assist in the training and development of new team members, ensuring they are familiar with production processes, procedures, safety standards, and GMP regulations.
6. Act as the first point of contact for team-related concerns, ensuring timely resolution while promoting a positive workplace environment.
7. Conduct interviews with process operators returning to work after sickness absence. Address unacceptable levels of absence and seek guidance where necessary.
8. Conduct investigations in line with Company Disciplinary Procedure, seeking guidance where necessary.
9. Support Production Managers during disciplinary hearings as required.
Process and Operations:
1. Oversee and monitor daily manufacturing activities of your process operators, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
2. Participate in all tiered meetings and shift handovers, providing updates on performance, safety, and operational priorities.
3. Develop Stock Control Procedures and implement inventory control.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless operations.
5. Drive compliance with GMP, SOPs, and industry regulations.
6. Monitor and improve operational efficiency by identifying and addressing process bottlenecks.
7. Minimise waste by teaching employees how to use the machines efficiently.
8. Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety:
1. Maintain and promote a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
2. Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
3. Ensure that the manufacturing site is safe for team members.
4. Ensure that all process operators have the necessary PPE.
Quality:
1. Ensure that all products are manufactured according to GMP by enforcing adherence to SOPs, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality processes.
Metrics and Reporting:
1. Accountable for real-time reporting to ensure that key manufacturing metrics are analysed and communicated daily.
2. Collect, analyse, and report key performance metrics to production management for continuous tracking and process improvement.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Minimum secondary-level education with good numeracy and literacy skills.
2. Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
3. Proven track record in a production role within a manufacturing environment.
4. Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment.
5. Experience adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
6. Third Level education in a science or engineering subject.
7. Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment.
8. Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
9. Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
10. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
11. Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with effective relationship-building skills.
12. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

1. Must be flexible to work across various shift patterns.
2. Work additional hours when required.
