Overview Due to site growth, we have a new role available for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our flagship facility in Corby, The WEB. The purpose of this role is to manage and facilitate all site health and safety activities in a manner that ensures all statutory and company requirements are achieved and maintained in support of the business objectives. This is a hands-on role and reports to the HSEQ Manager. The salary for this role is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum plus benefits. How will you contribute?
* Escalate/report all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards as necessary using the site internal escalation.
* Assist managers in investigations of accidents/incidents/near misses where necessary.
* Observe all environmental and safety rules and signs at all times.
* Conduct health & safety compliance checks and audits.
* Ensure all actions assigned to them are completed thoroughly and on time.
* Help the site and team to achieve all relevant objectives and Key Performance Indicators.
* Updating H&S files as needed
* Supporting development of toolbox talks and H&S briefs
* Updating H&S communications boards across site
What will you bring?
* Strong administrative skills, ideally with a Health and Safety background
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft word and excel
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
