Handley James are currently working with a specialist manufacturer and installer of capital equipment. This organisation has a fantastic reputation and is currently experiencing a growth trajectory with an extremely strong order book. As a result of this, they are now looking to recruit a Head of Projects (PMO). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proven and now looking to progress and develop their career further.
As a Head of Projects, you will take full responsibility for leading the projects team, from order handover through to final installation and client handover.
You will be responsible for:
1. Managing a team of Project Engineers and Managers.
2. Managing a PMO that handles multiple projects ranging from £100k to circa £10 Million.
3. Managing a projects team from order to final handover including installation and commissioning.
4. Liaising with functions including Sales, Design, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Installation.
5. Introducing and implementing departmental processes and systems.
6. Controlling budgets and costs.
7. Monitoring and reporting progress internally and with customers.
Currently a Senior Project Manager, Project Office Manager, or Head of Projects, you will have the experience and ability to mentor and implement process and system improvements. You will have experience leading a multi-disciplined team. You will be a self-starter and have a very hands-on approach from a key person who will help build the department and the processes within it. You will be familiar with building and developing internal and external relationships and be an advocate for both the company and the customer.
