Job Description Project Manager Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Oversee the Asset Refresh Project, ensuring timely execution of data centre infrastructure upgrades while maintaining compliance with PCI DSS v4.0. Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with IT infrastructure teams, compliance officers, business units, and external vendors to align project objectives and execution. Infrastructure Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a detailed roadmap for replacing end-of-life hardware and provisioning new compute, storage, and network equipment. Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure that all infrastructure changes meet regulatory compliance standards, particularly PCI DSS v4.0, reducing security risks associated with legacy hardware. Data Centre Expansion: Lead the deployment of 13 new racks per data centre, overseeing compute, storage, and networking upgrades across DC1 and DC2. Governance & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, progress reports, and governance controls to ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 10 years in IT infrastructure project management, ideally within financial services. Data Centre Migrations: Proven experience in managing large-scale data centre migrations, asset refresh projects, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of PCI DSS v4.0, ITIL service management, and risk governance frameworks. Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project scheduling, risk management, and governance methodologies. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and senior executives. Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL preferred. Technologies: Dell and HP rack compute r, ESX virtualisation, Pure storage, Service NOW OVERVIEW OF THE ENGAGEMENT Our customer is undertaking an Asset Refresh within the strategic data centres. The purpose of this project is to perform an Asset Refresh to address end-of-life (EOL) and out of support hardware Obsolete or out of support software and PCI DSS Version 4.0.1 compliance considerations. 60% of hardware in the data centres already at or approaching EOL by the end of 2025, this poses significant business risk from an operational stability and compliance perspective. SCOPE OF SERVICES This work is to focus on mitigating compliance issues with the most business critical services by completing an asset refresh with the following key objectives. 1. Service Priority Mapping Objective: Map services and infrastructure based on business criticality, compliance, and regulatory impacts to create a prioritized refresh roadmap. Key Requirement: Engage all business service owners (expected to be around 120) to understand dependencies and align refresh priorities with business needs by the defined deadlines. 2. .Infrastructure Asset Refresh Objective: Replace end-of-life (EOL) infrastructure to maintain PCI compliance, ensuring that hardware, software, and data management align with updated regulatory requirements. Key Requirement: Prioritize 60% of hardware already at or approaching EOL by the end of 2025 to ensure criticality is recorded and mapped and the rationalization can be conducted in a priority order. The plan will capture the services that require change to ensure they only operate on compliant infrastructure. 3. Migration and Rationalization Objective: Rationalize existing workloads to optimize resource utilization within the current supported estate, while migrating services currently running on legacy infrastructure to new supported and compliant systems where required Key Requirement: Reduce redundant and unused hardware and streamline service mapping for efficiency. 4. Data Centre Expansion Objective: Expand data centre capacity in both DC1 and DC2 with 13 new racks each, including compute, storage, and network resources. Key Requirement: Ensure the physical installation and configuration of: 11 computer racks (6 production, 5 non-production). To include the additional of 4 storage directors (2 production, 2 non-production). 2 network equipment racks. 5. PCI Compliance Version 4 Objective: Identify the work needed to the data centre infrastructure to achieve compliance with the enhanced requirements of PCI DSS v4.0.1, which include: Improved monitoring and reporting.
