A REWARDING CAREER THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
As one of the local leading providers of palliative and end of life care, St Andrew’s Hospice is a highly successful and forward-thinking charity, offering both adult and children’s services. With an excellent reputation both in the local community and beyond, we reach over 800 patients and their families in North East Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire for our children’s services.
The charity has a portfolio of over 20 retail units situated across the county and into the East Riding of Yorkshire and generate around 40% of the charity’s total income. The retail business includes a distribution warehouse, fleet of delivery vehicles, online trading presence and a range of general and specialist shops across the county and beyond.
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic retail professionals who want to make a real difference. Working alongside a friendly team of volunteers, the Charity Shop Manager works on opposite days to the Deputy Shop Manager and ensures that the outlet is well run, well-stocked, safe, profitable and maintains the excellent reputation of the hospice through welcoming and thanking donors and those who volunteer their time.
Although charity retail experience would be an advantage, the role would also suit someone with a solid foundation in general retailing experience and / or a strong business background. Training will be provided. As this role can be occasionally asked to cover other shops, a full driving licence and access to a car is desirable.
If you would like to discuss the role in more detail or arrange a tour of our amazing facilities, please contact Julie Smith, Head of Retail & Trading on 01472 571297.
