The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We are looking for Test Automation experts to join the team and support us in creating mission critical solutions for our exciting range of projects and programmes within the defence and space domains.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Automation Tester you'll get to work in teams working on cutting edge projects within our Defence/Space business, on work that has a real impact. Your work will involve some or all of the below:
1. Contribute to the test design and execution of various test phases.
2. Be part of the overall contribution of the test team; reporting and attending defect triage meetings, quality gate reviews and producing Test Completion Reports.
3. Provide support to junior members of the team offering guidance where required.
4. System Testing.
5. Test Automation both at SME and Script Developer level.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We are interested in considering candidates from different technical backgrounds. For this Test Automation role we can consider people from both Testing and Software Development backgrounds, who are comfortable with scripting.
You will be able to demonstrate the below competencies:
1. Knowledge of test automation skills and open source (e.g. Robot Frameworks, Selenium & Python), testing tools.
2. Proven and relevant testing and quality assurance expertise in either manual or automated testing.
3. Delivery of test automation projects (beneficial).
4. Ability to identify, analyse, and devise solutions to business and technical information technology problems.
5. Ability to interact with customers regarding business and technical information technology needs.
6. Expertise of working in agile teams delivering projects and solutions (beneficial).
7. AGILE and SAFe.
8. Software development skills. E.g Java, C#, and an understanding of software development best practices.
9. Good communication skills, including excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
10. Able to analyse problems, detect root causes and resolve issues effectively using latest quality improvement tools and techniques.
11. Excellent time management, planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible and willing to obtain, UK SC clearance with the view to progressing to higher level clearance if required.
