Electrical Maintenance Engineer Cramlington £35K Paid overtime available 40 hour working week, Day Shift – Monday to Friday Are you ready to take your electrical engineering career to the next level in a fast-paced, industrial environment? We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of a range of machinery and systems. What You’ll Be Doing: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within a heavy industrial setting. Respond swiftly to breakdowns, minimising downtime and keeping production running smoothly. Work with a range of systems, including PLCs, motor controls, drives, sensors, and automation technologies. Get hands-on with maintaining robots, ensuring seamless operation. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment. Play a key part in projects focused on machinery upgrades, automation improvements, and enhancing energy efficiency. Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve system reliability, productivity, and performance. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, motors, and automation systems. Exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Experience with high-voltage (HV) systems would be beneficial. Understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles.
