Job Advertisement: Facilities Operative (Nights)
Salary: £11.51 per Hour

We are seeking a Facilities Operative (Nights) to join our team at the Conway Residential Centre. This is a unique opportunity for a reliable, self-starter to ensure the smooth running of our facilities during the night shift.
As the Facilities Operative (Nights), you will have a broad range of responsibilities that support the security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the centre. Your role will be key to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors during the overnight hours. You will also act as the main person on-site for any emergency situations and basic maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Security & Safety: Perform regular security checks of the residential centre, both internally and externally. Be the point of contact for all enquiries between 20:00 and 08:00 and act as the principal person in emergencies and evacuations.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean designated public areas, offices, and toilets as directed. Carry out painting and basic maintenance tasks when requested. Complete regular checks of lighting and legionella control as instructed.
Health & Safety: Provide Health and Safety inductions to groups when required. Conduct weekly checks of firefighting equipment.
Support & Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Facilities Supervisor by completing a written handover at the end of each shift.
Additional Duties: Carry out laundry duties and vehicle checks as requested. Attend all necessary training sessions.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in facilities management, security, or customer service is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work without supervision, taking the lead during emergency situations.
Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Flexible approach to working hours and tasks, as this is an annualised hours position with varying shifts.
Additional Information:
This position offers an annualised hours contract, meaning you will work a set total number of hours each year, but the shift patterns and weekly hours will vary to meet operational needs.
