Senior Bookkeeper required for our long-standing Sudbury based manufacturing client. It is essential for this part-time senior bookkeeper position that you possess a strong background in bookkeeping and must be proficient with Sage. In your role as senior bookkeeper, you will be the sole accounts person in the company handling all aspects of their accounts from accounts payable, payroll, VAT, cash flow, stock takes, credit control as well as much more. The ideal bookkeeper for this position would be someone who has gained their accounts experience within the manufacturing industry and is available immediately.
The Role
1. Complete monthly stock take
2. Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions
3. Reconcile bank statements
4. Process monthly payroll
5. Credit Control management including carrying out due diligence for new customers and suppliers
6. Process accounts payable and receivable
7. Prepare financial statements and reports from bespoke accounting software
8. Complete and reconcile VAT and Tax returns and payments
9. Working 2 - 3 days a week (Flexi-hours negotiable) to suit the candidate
The Person
1. Essential to have a strong accounts background covering all aspects of accounts
2. Must possess strong Sage experience
3. Gained finance experience within manufacturing
4. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
5. Ability to analyse financial data and extract insights
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
8. Extremely efficient
9. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and politely
