2. Engaging with multidisciplinary teams during the definition and investigation phases of 8D processes.
3. Documenting investigations in a timely manner to allow tracking and reporting of their status and progress.
4. Conceive, plan, oversee and execute tests and trials designed to establish the root causes of reported faults.
5. Set out clear investigation strategies to instruct and guide Technician colleagues in their execution, when required.
6. Document investigations accurately and thoroughly to produce appropriate engineering reports in a timely manner.
Requirements:
1. To hold a relevant engineering qualification (e.g. mechanical or electrical).
2. To have exposure in fault or failure investigation, or of test or development in a similar, relevant environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, precision engineering).
3. To have experience working with mechanical parts and/or machinery.
4. To evidence a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
5. The ability to communicate the progress and results of investigations, in progress and upon completion in a relevant and appropriate way.
