About the Role: As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a key role in a small but dynamic security team responsible for maintaining and enhancing Lanes Group’s security posture. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, you will be the first line of escalation for security operations, support ongoing compliance efforts, and ensure the effective administration of security tools and frameworks. Location: Leeds based - however travel to sites is required Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week. Responsibilities – but not limited to: Security Operations Monitor and respond to security alerts, ensuring timely and effective incident handling. Act as the first line of escalation for SOC alerts and vulnerabilities, conducting initial triage and analysis. Assist with proactive threat-hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential risks. Administer and maintain identity and access management (IAM) processes, ensuring compliance with the principle of least privilege. Compliance and Frameworks Support the maintenance of the organisation's ISO27001 certification, including assisting with audits, evidence collation, and updates to the Statement of Applicability. Conduct routine security checks and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with Cyber Essentials and other frameworks. Prepare and maintain documentation for policies, standards, and procedures related to information security. Respond to and manage DSAR's ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines adhered to. Technical Security Administration Support the deployment, configuration, and administration of security tools, including endpoint protection, email security, and cloud security solutions. Assist in configuration recommendations to firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures to safeguard the organisation's infrastructure. Participate in vulnerability management by analysing scans and suggesting remediation tasks. Development and Collaboration Contribute to awareness campaigns to promote a culture of security within Lanes. – Regular site visits are encouraged Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into new projects and initiatives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, sharing insights with the wider team. Experience and qualifications required for the role: Essential: Strong understanding of security operations, incident response, and IAM principles. Experience with ISO27001 frameworks and maintaining compliance. Foundational knowledge of network and cloud security technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS). Familiarity with SOC tools and processes (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, email security). Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Full UK driving license Desirable: Certifications such as CompTIA Security, Microsoft Azure Security Fundamentals, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Hands-on experience with practical security labs or platforms (e.g., TryHackMe, Hack The Box, Cybrary Labs). Exposure to Cyber Essentials compliance frameworks.
