We have an opportunity for a Finance Controller to join our Secure Systems and Information Assurance Division based at our Gloucester site. SUMMARY: Provide financial support to the Secure Systems and Technologies (SST) business, ensuring integrity and timeliness of financial data to allow SST to be fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. Prepare reports, analysis and ensure general ledger accounts are routinely reconciled and reviewed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage month end reporting tasks including accruals and prepayments, payroll and holiday pay provision journals, deferred income, reconcile sales, bookings and backlog, month end GRNI reconciliation, reconcile and post intercompany balances, corporate allocation journals and corporation tax provisions. Monitor inventory cycle counting variances, review stock aging provisions, work in progress valuation and analysis. Assist with product costing analysis and the identification of non-production material costs. Ensure reports and forecasts are accurate, timely and suitable for non-financial personnel and provide support to business managers to understand key financials. Work with Finance Management to deliver financial and operational goals and drive profitable business growth. Manage cash through improvements in working capital whilst respecting customer and supplier relationships. Review accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring approval processes are followed and raising any issues with the FD.
