Salary: £51,522 - £53,607 (18-month Fixed Term Contract)

About the Team:
The private sector housing team are responsible for working with landlords, agents and tenants with improving safety standards and property management in the boroughs' large private rented sector. This includes the responsibility for fire safety in existing buildings.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Fire Safety Surveyor to join Croydon's Private Sector Housing Team. The primary objective of this role is to improve standards within Croydon's private rented sector, including housing association-owned and privately-owned premises. The successful candidate will ensure fire safety compliance in high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings within the private sector. They will work with various partners, including the Council, London Fire Brigade, Building Safety Regulator, Greater London Authority, and MHCLG, to prioritise enforcement, and take steps to achieve the successful remediation of non-compliant buildings.
