Sheridan Maine is partnering with a dynamic payroll department based in central Poole to recruit for a self-driven Payroll Assistant with exceptional communication and time management skills to join their team.This role provides a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing for 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the Poole office. Key Responsibilities: Running weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls for clients Managing a portfolio of client payrolls Addressing client queries related to payroll Collaborating with HMRC regarding employee payments Inputting and verifying starters/leavers Handling P45s, P69s, holiday pay, salaries, worked hours, overtime, expenses, mileage, bonus payments, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP) Conducting auto-enrolment reconciliations and assessments Generating PAYE schedules for clients, calculating deductions such as student loans, employer’s allowance, and CIS tax suffered Establishing new PAYE schemes with HMRC Coordinating with pension providers Executing RTI year-end procedures, including issuing declarations for client signature and P60s What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a busy payroll position Demonstrated success in efficiently managing payrolls of varying sizes with practical knowledge Excellent attention to detail Organized and methodical approach Ability to meet key deadlines Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible hybrid working arrangement Opportunities for professional development Collaborative and dynamic work environment You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.Due to the high volume of applications we receive it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants.
