Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert casting and bracing services on instruction from clinicians.
2. Educate patients and carers on plaster care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.
3. Stay up to date with advances in casting techniques and implement best practices.
4. Maintain and manage plaster room equipment and supplies, ensuring safety and functionality.
5. Participate in patient care planning with the multidisciplinary team, and apply appropriate casts following consultations.
6. Supervise and mentor staff, providing education on casting techniques and standards.
7. Maintain accurate patient records using the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

19. Ability to problem-solve and work flexibly in response to service demands.
