Are you a procurement professional that would like to take on a leadership role in the development of high performing procurement practice across the Council? You will be leading on the adoption of self-service and business partner approach, while providing strategic support to senior officers in creating and applying procurement strategy. Additionally, you will support the training and development of procurement skills across the Council. Working closely with the Heads of Service for the Directorates, you will support in deciding upon commissioning, procurement and contract management activity, as well as improving forward planning and procurement pipelines, whilst managing demand and prioritising contracts appropriately. You will provide guidance and support to the Procurement Officers in your team, ensuring the successful delivery of the procurements they manage as well as directly supporting the Council's most strategic contracts. About the team You will be part of the Corporate Procurement leadership team, working alongside the other Business Partner and Head of Corporate Procurement to lead on best practice procurement strategy and application.
