We have ample on site parking as well as being serviced by a local bus route from neighbouring town Redhill which operates a direct train service from London. We take children from birth up to 5 years old, and have 4 age-groups, with their own dedicated indoor rooms and outdoor gardens. Core purpose and responsibilities To maintain a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, reporting any concerns immediately - in accordance with safeguarding and whistleblowing policies To promote the highest standards in all issues relating to learning and teaching in line with the nursery ethos and policies To ensure the team meets the high levels of hygiene and cleanliness standards within the setting To direct the team of room assistants To be motivated and proactive in continuous professional development, including a motivation to train as a Forest School Leader if not already qualified. To contribute relevant items to staff meetings. To prepare and carry out parent meetings. To act as a part of the larger team and help those that need it outside of your room. To keep up to date with current developments and statutory guidance and inform colleagues. To support the life of the nursery by showing an enthusiasm for special events, for example, Open Days and Christmas events. To act as part of the wider team to ensure each nursery day is successful and to undertake other aspects of nursery work as required, which may include kitchen and domestic tasks. What we’re looking for Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification Paediatric First Aid certificate (this will be organised by the Nursery if needs updating) Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an Early Years Setting.
