Assistant Head Teacher (maternity leave cover)
Salary range: L7 – L11 £57,813 – £63,815.
Post to commence 1 st September covering a maternity leave which is expected to last until July 2026.
Ayresome Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher, on a secondment basis to cover a maternity leave, who can demonstrate excellent practice and an ability to harness the skills and enthusiasm of all staff and pupils. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Headteacher and the Trust to lead the school further on its exciting journey as a good school, being a beacon within the local community and beyond; providing an inspirational education for all, helping every child to achieve the very best that they can.
This post may have a non-class based teaching commitment, and a key part of the role is to support the development of teaching and learning, ensuring consistency of delivery to secure rapid progress.
The successful candidate will demonstrate impact from their current leadership role and show a commitment to, and enthusiasm for, enhancing their own knowledge and skills in all aspects of school leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school.
