Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is the operational name of Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board. The Health Board was established on the 1st October 2009 and covers the areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen and South Powys.

Job overview
The postholder will be a Specialty Doctor covering the catchment area of Newport West Mental Health services based at 6 Goldtops in Newport. They will work alongside the existing consultant in the Newport Borough and together will provide medical input to the community services in Newport. They will positively respond to requests from Team Members who need advice in the day-to-day management of adult patients in any setting within the borough and contribute to the development of adult mental health services in the borough.

As a senior employee of the Health Board, the post holder will work in close cooperation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high-quality healthcare to the Health Board’s patients.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
