Role Responsibility We are looking to recruit a KR11 Senior Accountant within KCC's Revenue Finance (CED, DCED & GET) Team. This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months. lt is a full time role (37 hours per week) however part time/job share applications will be considered. The primary location for this role is Sessions House, although currently involves working from home with some office working as required at Maidstone. The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and/or with proven ability to do the job, with technical knowledge of Revenue budget monitoring and accounting. The role is responsible for providing finance and budget control advice, robust challenge and direction to primarily to budget holders in the GET directorate. You will have excellent spreadsheet skills (Microsoft Excel) and be a competent user of other Microsoft office software e.g. Word and Outlook. You will have a wide knowledge of the Authority’s accounting system, Oracle CP, BI and iProc. You will have extensive knowledge of budget setting, monitoring, and closure of accounts, and other Revenue finance processes. You will have good communication skills and wide experience of working with senior officers, Heads of service, and budget managers. While being able to work in a self-directed and well organised way, you will be part of a team and will be expected to work alongside other accountants to achieve shared objectives.
