Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Technical IT is responsible for the operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel activities of the Information Technology department. This includes establishing, meeting, and continuously monitoring goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of Bristol Health. This position requires expertise in managing highly skilled teams, including network engineers, VoIP engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers. The Associate Director will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Essential job functions and responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage a team of network engineers, VoIP engineers, system engineers, cybersecurity engineers, desktop technicians, and help desk operations.
* Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
* Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT department, aligning with Bristol Health's goals and objectives.
* Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including Cisco Call Manager, VMware, Windows Server, EMC SAN technology, Cisco Networking, and Meraki wireless networking.
* Ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability, performance, and security.
* Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
* Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade existing systems.
* Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to support business operations.
* Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, facilitating clear and effective communication.
* Collaborate with the leadership team on technical and non-technical issues.
* Provide regular updates on IT initiatives, performance metrics, and strategic plans to senior management.
* Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
* Negotiate with vendors and service providers to procure IT products and services.
* Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Minimum requirements:
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. A master’s degree is preferred.
Job Related Experience:
* Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience overseeing teams of network engineers, VoIP engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers.
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager, VMware, Windows Server, EMC SAN technology, Cisco Networking, and Meraki wireless networking.
* In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, network architecture, and security protocols.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
