Team Leader Operations
Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off / Permanent role
THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER-Dott
As a Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the daily success of our team in Milton Keynes. This includes efficiently managing daily operational tasks and ensuring that shift activities meet optimal standards. The Team Leader will as well be responsible for enhancing the efficiency of our Operations Partners, Operations Associates and Mechanics whenever possible, as well as identify necessary tasks and their importance. Additionally, the Team Leader will be responsible for certain task-oriented work during shifts according to business demands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Organising workshop operations and overseeing the operations teams while exemplifying best practices;
* Managing health and safety issues within the warehouse;
* Ensuring adherence to operational processes by all team members;
* Overseeing inventory counts of tools and spare parts and managing stock levels;
* Leading the implementation of various repair procedures and out-of-warehouse (OOW) Standard Operating Procedures;
* Assisting the Fleet Operations Supervisor with various daily tasks to streamline operations and enhance business success;
* Organising and directing Operations Partners, Operations Associates and Mechanics during shift work assigning tasks, adjusting automation, and communicating shift directives;
* Making quick decisions during shifts to always optimise resource allocation;
* Supporting the Fleet Operations Supervisor in developing the skills of Operations Partners, Operations Associates and Mechanics to improve efficiency;
* Managing daily fleet operations and performing task-based shift work as required, in line with seasonal business needs;
* Providing 7 day coverage for the market and Operation on a shift pattern agreed with the Fleet Operations Supervisor.
YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* A valid UK / EU class B driving license;
* Experience in team management and good communication skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Comfortable with using smartphones / apps. / tools & systems;
* Confident decision making skills;
* English language skills are required;
* Ability to work conscientiously and with a focus on safety;
* Flexible to work on shifts;
* Good technical (mechanical preferred) understanding or previous working experience in the field will be taken as a plus.
