About the role Balfour Beatty is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Storeperson with a civils background to join our Highways team working on the A57 Scheme. Role Purpose: As a key member of our logistics operation, you’ll ensure the smooth running of our stores, effectively managing stock, equipment, and fleet. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the receipt, issue, and stock levels of materials, plant, and equipment, making sure that everything required for the project is readily available and well-organized. What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities: Co-ordinate and manage plant and stock, ensuring accurate stock management and adherence to procedures. Work closely with operational staff to ensure materials are arranged and accessible in line with the project programme. Handle unloading and loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring deliveries match advice notes and checking for quality, quantity, and damage. Liaise with suppliers to arrange replacements or returns of faulty or damaged stock. Order and issue materials, PPE, consumables, and more. Hire, accept, and off-hire plant and equipment as needed. Manage the calibration of tools and equipment, including lifting gear. Maintain a tidy and organized store at all times.
