Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rehabilitation
Location: Kent
Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5 ( 37.5 hours per week )
About the Role:
Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with an extremely reputable, leading provider of neurological care and rehabilitation. Supporting individuals suffering from neurological disability as a result of acquired brain injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, parkinson's and huntington's disease. Together, we are seeking a Occupational Therapist for their service, based in Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' needs and strengths, utilising assessment results to develop care plans, management strategies, clinical goals and evidence-based therapy plans ( which are recorded and communicated )
Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment plans to ensure effectiveness using outcome measures
Manage a caseload independently with supervision from the Lead OT.
To be integral in discharge planning including liaising with community teams, social services and equipment providers
To ensure all clinical records are maintained to the HCPC and RCOT standards
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need to Be:
Qualified in Occupational Therapy and registered with the RCOT
Registered with the HCPC
Educated to degree-level or equivalent
Evidence of CPD and continued learning
At least 2 years' experience in relevant health or social care setting
Experience in neurology, specialist rehab, and/or complex care
Experience in delivering evidence-based practice, following best practice guidelines, using assessment tools and providing outcome measures
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards of professional practise
