In this rewarding role, you'll make a real difference by supporting children and helping them thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Constantly monitor children to ensure they are safe, both indoors and outdoors, while engaging in activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to children, particularly those who may require additional help.
Regularly observe children's behaviour, progress, and milestones, noting important changes or developments.
Assist the nursery manager or senior staff in the overall running of the nursery, including contributing ideas for activities or improvements.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Patience in dealing with challenging behaviour and supporting children through their emotional and developmental stages.
Enthusiasm and showing a genuine love for working with children which helps keep them engaged and creates a positive atmosphere.
Clear communication is essential when interacting with children, parents, and colleagues as well as the ability to explain instructions to children in a simple and absorbing way.
A good team player who collaborates effectively, share ideas, and offer support to colleagues when needed.
