The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of occupational health work, including clinical case management, pre-employment and fitness for work assessments, immunisation programmes, health surveillance, management of sharps contamination incidents, and health promotion.
The department is open Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00, although you will need to have some flexibility around hours from time to time. Most of the duties are based at the Southampton General Hospital site, but you may be required to work at other sites at planned times according to the needs of our clients.
What We're Looking For
The successful applicant should be a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with post-registration experience in occupational health. A qualification in Occupational Health is desirable but not essential. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic occupational health nurse/OT with good communication skills, who wants to work in a multidisciplinary team and is interested in progressing their career in occupational health.
Although the advertised post is full-time, we may be able to accommodate a range of part-time options and also be willing to discuss a degree of flexibility and adjust the Job Plan to allow for partial remote working. Therefore, we would actively encourage applications from those who wish to work part-time.
Should you wish to discuss the post further or arrange an informal visit, please contact either Robyn Warming at Robyn.Warming@uhs.nhs.uk or Vanessa Castro at Vanessa.Castro@uhs.nhs.uk. Interviews will be held on 25th November 2024.
