What's involved with this role: Interim AMHP Team Manager Reference no: Bournemouth 5259526 Pay Rate: £25.80 per hour PAYE 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 2 months City: BOURNEMOUTH Enhanced DBS disclosure required The team have offices based at St Annes hospital and there is a requirement to be able to travel in the community across the BCP conurbation. Your role is to support and be accountable to the AMHP Service Manager in the management and organisation of the AMHP Hub to ensure that statutory duties are met as directed by national policy, legislation and guidance and in accordance with the councils’ policies, particularly s.13(1) MHA 1983. Key Responsibilities: Deputize for the AMHP Service Manager and ensure efficient service delivery. Provide expert advice, supervision, and guidance to team members, including performance management and AMHP Competencies. Monitor and approve expenditure within the delegated budget. Contribute to the development and improvement of the AMHP service, promoting evidence-based practice. Attend meetings, lead projects, and develop specific initiatives. Provide support and expertise to colleagues, including student supervision and fieldwork observations. Maintain records and provide statistical information as required. Undertake statutory duties, including managing complaints and covering local office tasks. Key requirements: Professional qualifications, i.e. Degree in social work, CSS CQSW, Dip SW Social Work England Registration AMHP Qualification and a Live Warrant Knowledge of all relevant legislation, statutory guidance and regulations including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act legislation Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities, legislation and guidance. Significant experience of working within an adult setting. Good written and verbal communication skills Able to critically analyse, evaluate and apply knowledge of legislation, local policy and procedures, national codes and multi-disciplinary practice.
