Adecco have an exciting role for a Maintenance Engineer Team Leader to join our client in South Ayrshire on a permanent basis.
In this role you will assist the Site Leader in setting the Sites' budget and the site KPI's with day-to-day responsibility for monitoring application of KPIs and ensuring that necessary corrective actions are in place. Ensure that the budget/maintenance/process targets are met or exceeded. Data collation and assessment of trends will be fundamental to driving a data led decision making culture.
You will have many responsibilities, some will include:
* Responsibility for ensuring maintenance plan is adhered to and performance reported on every month
* Ensure that forward planning for the Permit to Work system is adhered to and that all site personnel utilise the PTW system
* Responsibility for meeting or exceeding daily/weekly/monthly production targets
* Ensure that operational plant is maintained to the highest level of safety and environmental standards, with quick response to breakdown
* Ensure appropriate level of spare parts are defined and maintained in stock. Be involved in and maintain FMECA study. Frequently assess and review spare parts for suitability
* Assist Site Leader with the setting of site budget/KPI's for areas of responsibility and ensure corrective actions in place where required to achieve or exceed budget/target
* Ensure KPI's are documented, understood, and are met or exceeded on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to ensure that the annual site budget is met or exceeded. Review as required and take action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
* Ensure adequate maintenance and process logs/data collation (including downtime reporting) to allow timely and accurate data collection allowing data led decision making
* Ensure completion of all relevant data by maintenance technicians as per requirements. Carry out analysis of operational data to identify trends
* Ensure regular assessment and revision of supplier/service contract performance
* Provide a monthly summary report of Maintenance performance, on time each month and as requested by Site Leader. Report as a minimum on Compliance, Quality, Volume/Yield, Costs, People, any other KPI's Risks/Opportunities, AOB.
* Identify and ensure completion of required training & development where needed, at the appropriate level, ensuring training records are maintained
* Develop and implement training plan for new maintenance technicians and process operators. Actively assist where required with training of new employees
* Ensure good or exceptional performance within team is highlighted and recognised and that development plans are put in place and actioned where performance could be improved.
* Support Site Leader with the implementation of Company-wide safety recommendations across the site to drive a culture within the site of 'Don't Walk By' (DWB), Work Safe/Home Safe
* Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments for all key tasks and by auditing be confident these are being followed to ensure safe systems of work.
* Ensure that opportunities for continuous Improvement for systems and processes are identified and implemented for your areas of responsibility.

* Experience working in a modern dynamic manufacturing business
* Can demonstrate strong experience of leading a small maintenance team and/or planning and executing maintenance activities
* Experience of plant operations and meeting production targets in same or similar industry
* Qualified to a minimum of HND level in an engineering discipline (or equivalent) or can fully demonstrate comparable experience
