Location: Coningsby, UK (Onsite)
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety and Level 2 Food Preparation or equivalent
2. Qualified Chef
3. Prepared to cover shifts including weekends as required
Additional Requirements:
* Essential can work as part of a Team.
* Able to provide own PPE.
* Having access to own transport highly beneficial.
* Public sector/defence background is nice to have but not essential.
Responsibilities:
1. You are responsible for performing all duties as tasked by your Chain of Command with discipline, due diligence and to the highest possible standards at all times.
2. You are to complete any duties in relation to required feeding within the station.
3. Always ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in all catering establishments, using the ‘clean as you go’ & ‘good housekeeping’ principles.
4. You are responsible for the daily administrative completion and maintenance of stature Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental documentation.
5. You are to maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene ensuring you are always correctly dressed, wearing full clean pressed protective clothing as issued.
6. You are required to ensure strict economy in the use of all resources and swift reporting of all defects.
7. You are not permitted to authorise and issue rations unless prior authority has been given by the IP GM or Head Chef.
8. At the start & end of your shift you are responsible for the security of the Mess in its entirety, and you are to liaise with the JNCO/IP Head Chef wrt your duties for that shift.
9. When detailed as last person on shift you are to ensure your work is completed in full and to the highest standards, the Mess is clean, and suitably prepared for the oncoming shift.
10. Authorised breaks are to be taken as per shift detail; concessionary breaks are at the discretion of your LM.
11. You are to carry out any additional catering or service-related tasks as detailed/instructed by the Chain of Command.
