Salary: £23,151 per annum pro rata (ie, up to £14,554 per annum)
Working Pattern: Up to 28 hours per week, 36 weeks per year

We are recruiting for Learning Assistants at our Brighton Central Campus. As a Learning Assistant, you will be supporting students requiring additional help with their programmes of study across various areas within College, creating positive relationships with them and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting. This will include students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs.
You will support both the pastoral care, including personal care and administering of medication, and academic development of our students. It is essential that you have GCSE English at grade C or above (or equivalent) and Maths GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this subject qualification, as well as effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential, whilst experience of working with challenging behaviour would be an advantage.
