We are looking for a Senior Physio to join our Integrated Network Teams, based primarily in the REACT team in the Emergency Department at Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Infirmary.
The REACT Team is multi-professional, consisting of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and is supported by Advanced Practitioners. Our pace is fast-moving and our clinical caseload is diverse, providing support to patients across BNSSG.
The REACT pathway integrates with our colleagues within Community therapy and nursing to ensure a seamless patient journey and is part of the urgent care response.
Our remit is to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitate early hospital discharge. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking team looking for a Senior Clinician with previous relevant experience who is interested in joining our innovative team.
You will work in a supportive environment committed to ongoing clinical development and education. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and competencies utilized by the multi-disciplinary team to meet the ever-changing needs of the service, and you will also be part of our wider community team.
Main duties of the job
The REACT Team (Rapid Emergency Assessment Care Team) based in emergency departments of Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Infirmary aims to assess and discharge appropriate patients at the point of admission and prevent unnecessary hospital stays.
In this role, you will use your skills and knowledge working with a wide range of both acute and chronic conditions. Our pace is fast-moving and our clinical caseload is diverse, providing support to patients across BNSSG.
The team is multidisciplinary with Nurses, Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists and provides a Monday to Friday 7:30-19:30 service and can also flex into the INT Therapy Team on weekends.
Your role will involve assessing medically stable patients who are referred from the emergency zone and providing any treatment and advice needed to confirm discharge suitability. You will work closely with all areas of the community in health, social, and voluntary sectors to ensure there is appropriate follow-up to support the patients and facilitate a timely discharge.

Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
* Previous experience within NHS in Community or hospital setting
* Current HCPC registration
Experience
* Able to work autonomously, planning and prioritising own workload and others' workload.
* Able to make judgements on a range of complex conditions and physiotherapy issues which require investigation, analysis & assessment
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary setting
* Experience of supervising staff and students of own and other professions
* Preferred experience and understanding of community Teams and services
* Experience of the application of health, safety, and risk management policies
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
