Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that all staff adhere to food safety standards while delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities
1. Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant or kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
2. Supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and production, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
3. Help train new employees on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
4. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
5. Collaborate with the team to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
6. Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies regarding food safety and sanitation.
7. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for excellent customer satisfaction.
8. Assist in managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or food production environment is preferred.
2. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
4. Experience in culinary arts or food preparation is highly desirable.
5. Knowledge of bartending practices is a plus but not essential.
6. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
