We are seeking a General Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary SEMH Provision, supporting children aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential for long-term placement.
Key Details:
* Role: General Teaching Assistant
* Location: Primary SEMH Provision
* Age Group: 5-11 years old
* Start Date: ASAP (trial day required)
* Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
* Rate of Pay: £12.90 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in managing and engaging pupils with challenging behaviours.
* Assist with classroom activities and ensure all pupils are included in learning.
* Provide additional 1:1 or group support where necessary.
* Help promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Collaborate with staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, ideally in an SEMH or SEN setting.
* A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
