Fall Protection Sales Specialist (m/f/*)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Fall Protection Sales Specialist for the Personal Safety Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
* Achieving sales and margin targets quarterly, under an annual sales plan.
* Identifying and winning opportunities as required under sales plan.
* Working with end customers to advise and promote 3M Fall Protection Solutions.
* Managing the sales pipeline with the Distributor network through effective relationships and strong communication.
* Developing 3M brand loyalty across end customers and Distributors.
* Ensuring accurate communication of product updates and development.
* Collaborating with 3M technical teams to ensure a high level of on-site support where required.
* Identifying and sharing leads with 3M colleagues for products/solutions outside core specialism.
* Developing and maintaining market, industry, and product knowledge.
* Collecting and disseminating (internally) market trends and competitor activity.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data within a CRM system and other appropriate systems.
* Ensuring all administration/planning is accurate and completed on time and in full.
Your Skills and Expertise

* Good standard of education.
* Strong knowledge of the Fall Protection market is essential.
* Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally.
* A self-starter with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Numerate and proficient with analysis and manipulation of data.
* Proficient in the use of IT tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Strong communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.
* Competitive & proactive instinct - takes initiative on issues and challenges to find optimum solutions.
* Tenacious, resilient - ability to navigate through conflict and challenges towards positive outcomes, retaining focus and perspective.
* Able to build excellent customer relationships.
* Self-motivated & extremely driven.
Additional qualifications, skills and experience that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
* Have a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
* Basic knowledge of the related EN standards would be preferable.
* A knowledge of Horizontal Systems Fall Protection training.
Job Specifics
Travel: Field-based sales role with expectation to travel across the territory up to 75%.
Sales Area: Midlands/Southern UK.
Ideal candidate location: Within the defined territory preferably across the South Midlands down towards London.
