The Suffolk Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) based in East Suffolk, predominantly at Ipswich Hospital, Woodlands Unit is seeking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team.
The Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team are proactive and highly skilled at managing risk and supporting service users in East Suffolk who are presenting in crisis. The CRHTT service is an age inclusive provision covering a diverse and multicultural patient base. We are passionate about providing alternative options to hospital admissions, so you can expect to be undertaking rewarding and highly intensive work.
We are looking to recruit a compassionate, dedicated, and conscientious Clinical Nurse Specialist, who wants to make a positive difference to adults experiencing mental distress and mental health crisis and be the lead on clinical innovation within the team.
We're really excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work in our diverse multi-disciplinary team (MDT). If successful you will be a leader within the team; providing support and inspiring your staff. You will also provide skilled clinical interventions to service users experiencing mental health crisis within East Suffolk.

Main duties of the job
The role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist is to provide specialist clinical interventions to our service users, their families and loved ones. It also involves delivery of leadership activities within the team.
If appointed, you will:
1. Deliver clinical interventions.
2. Work as a non-medical prescriber.
3. Offer support, supervision and informal training to your colleagues.
4. Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
5. Undertake other clinical tasks within the team.
6. Deputise for the Community Team Manager on occasion.
You will have a nursing qualification, be trained as a non-medical prescriber, and will have developed your skills through extensive experience in mental health.

Qualifications Essential
* RMN or equivalent professional qualification
* Non-Medical Independent Prescriber
* Degree Level Qualification or equivalent
Desirable
* Study experience at masters level, study at that level or clinical experience.
Experience Essential
* Extensive experience which has required supervision and mentorship of others.
* Extensive experience of practice within clinical area with proven track record in delivering high quality care
