Clinical Trainer-Community Children's Nurse
Come and join our Complex Care Team as part of our Community Nursing Team. We are looking for an experienced nurse to join our Children's Complex Care Team.
The post holder will provide specialist nursing skills, knowledge, and expertise in the care and management of children and young people who have a confirmed continuing health care need.
You will be part of the wider Community Children's Nursing team with a high level of nursing expertise and be a role model to the nurses and students within the team. Support telephone on-call for staff outside of office hours.
The service operates 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.

Main Duties of the Job
1. To work in partnership with child, family, and carers holistically in response to their specific needs, maximizing their independence and quality of life.
2. You will be responsible for training and education in packages of care for children who have Continuing Health Care needs.
3. To support continuity of care within an integrated care organization following the patient across the acute and community pathways.
4. To lead on the teaching and development of healthcare professionals, children, young people, and carers.
5. To provide clinical supervision and mentorship for junior staff, health care assistants as required.
6. You will take part in the on-call provision within the service.
Minimum Requirements
The post holder will:
* RN Child Branch/ RSCN.
* Have acute and preferably community experience.
* Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
* Be able to travel independently across the community.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree in specialty (where available) or willing to work towards.
* ENB 998 (Teaching and Assessing in Clinical/D33/D32 Practice), or equivalent course.
* Leadership Course.
Experience
* Demonstrable post-registration experience.
* Relevant recent experience in acute pediatric/community setting.
* Relevant experience at Band 5 or above.
* Proven experience in the involvement in teaching and learning initiatives.
* Evidence of supporting others within the clinical environment.
* Experience of audit initiatives and other quality initiatives.
* Able to demonstrate commitment to high-quality patient care.
* Evidence of implementing research-based practice.
* Experience and evidence in implementing change.
Leadership
* Experience of good time management and managing a caseload.
* Experience of delegation/prioritizing.
* Experience of supporting the day-to-day management of a multidisciplinary team.
