To work as a Medical Secretary within the Gynae-Oncology department, including diary management, taking lead responsibility for a number of consultants within the team. Provide support to associated medical team typing and distributing clinic notes, discharge summaries and following up further appointments and tests as required. To be proficient in knowledge and use of medical terminology and IT.
You will be working as part of a team of vascular secretary's, liaising with the booking teams regarding patient queries.
Organise the day to day running of the office, including opening the post or other enquiries and actioning as necessary, independently of, or with the guidance of one of the gynae-oncology Consultants.
The team consists of Consultants, Registrars ,SHO and FY1s. There are also CNSs, who work cross site between Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospital.
