Role Overview:
As Practice Manager, you’ll have a variety of responsibilities that will benefit every colleague and every patient. From clinical and compliance accuracy to inspiring colleagues to train and develop their skills, you will play a crucial role in connecting your practice to the community and expanding our private offering.
This role requires inspiring leadership and warm motivational skills. You’ll be highly organised, inspire others, and bring creative ideas to support the growth of your practice and the development of every colleague. You will be a motivator with great people skills and will be seen as the expert and leader in all aspects of quality dentistry.
The Role:
1. Line management responsibility for the practice team
2. Supporting the clinical team to deliver their NHS and Private objectives
3. Profit and Loss management - managing costs effectively and identifying opportunities for business growth
4. Reviewing business reports to ensure the efficient and profitable running of your practice
5. Supervising all banking procedures, including deposits, payments, reconciliation, and debt management
6. Keeping all practice documentation up to date including policies, procedures, and handbooks
7. Ensuring practice compliance with all Health and Safety requirements
Skills and Experience:
1. Dental Practice Management experience
2. Strong leadership skills
3. Prior experience of being responsible for business performance, working to KPI’s and targets, and managing Profit and Loss
4. Staff management experience, including appraisals and performance management
5. Bring a strong level of enthusiasm and motivation to play a key role in growing the practice
6. Hold HIW registration as a Practice Manager or willingness and commitment to complete necessary requirements (including DBS check) to obtain registration
