The Specialty Care Lead, UK is responsible for leading a cross functional team of colleagues including sales, marketing, medical, H&V, public affairs and others to drive growth for the Specialty Care Business, delivering impact for appropriate patients and their families living with Immunoinflammatory Conditions and Rare Diseases, ultimately ensuring that both the Specialty Care revenue and IBT targets are met. The colleague in the role will be responsible for developing an annual and multi-year operating plan and contributing to the broader Specialty care strategy clearly aligned with the IDM vision for Growth, ensuring focus on priority and selective invest knots to realise growth. The Specialty Care Lead, UK, will represent the Specialty care business at the country leadership level and in the appropriate in-country collaboration forums. The colleague should conduct all activities and make decisions that are in accordance with Company policies and SOPs, Pfizer Values, and global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environment guidelines, as appropriate. Key Responsibilities Operational and Financial Performance: Optimize the performance of the in-country portfolio of Specialty Care and manage daily operations of the business. Maximize revenue and IBT performance through rigorous management of the P&L and in alignment with goals. Identify key areas of focus for the portfolio: Where to Play and How to Win. Prioritize capital allocation across the portfolio both in the short and medium/long term. Manage expenses and investments according to plan goals. Monitor performance of the business and implement course-correcting actions. Work with above country Specialty Care teams to provide strategic / brand / operating plans. Approach business with a One Pfizer mindset to optimize results for Pfizer strategy. Develop and execute innovative business strategies/models to maximize revenue, market share, and income growth. Leadership with key internal stakeholders in ICO, Global, CoLab to develop commercial excellence in Specialty Care. Ensure launch excellence through development of marketplace and policy in line with pipeline opportunities. Optimize access for Specialty Care assets through excellent stakeholder management and development of strategic initiatives that shapes policy across the UK. Provide support and direction to the development of robust pricing and access strategies. Drives innovative clinical development strategies in close collaboration with Medical and R&D. Maximize lifecycle product performance through excellence in aligned and innovative planning and execution. Lead the development of Pfizer and industry body strategy to influence the portfolio’s policy across the UK through collaboration with key stakeholders. External Stakeholder and Customer Engagement: Drive execution of customer strategies and tactics. Develop and lead integrated cross functional customer facing teams appropriate to the market needs. Ensure regional level analysis of performance that is regularly assessed. Key external stakeholder engagement with the DH, NHSE, NICE and specific bodies aligned with areas of specialist focus (e.g. National Amyloidosis Centre) to create a positive environment for Specialty Care medicines. People and Leadership: Support and continually build the Culture within the BU and across the country organization. Engage and develop colleagues across businesses and functions. Lead and coach a high performing team to develop colleagues within the country in line with the Pfizer competency model. Build and actively manage a pipeline of succession talent. Skills & Experience Extensive proven commercial experience. Proven success in leading the marketing or management of a multi-brand portfolio. Demonstrated ability to partner across functions and with regional marketing teams. Understanding of the portfolio’s product market dynamics. P&L management. Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment. Ability to influence across stakeholders. Fluency in written and spoken English.
